In this article we will provide you with a Chrome html document from which you can derive the html code for a template trigger e-mail. We will also give you a description of how to modify this template to your preference.



A trigger e-mail can be set up within the dynamic rule engine in the data garden. Whenever a condition within the database of a particular project is being met, an e-mail can be sent by means of an alert or notification. For instance, a manager would proactively like to know whenever a particularly low or high score is being awarded by a respondent.


This email can be set up as a plain email, but it can be styled using the html/css editor to match your house style and give it a professional quality look and feel. Please view the screenshot below for an example of an NPS trigger e-mail.



Now how do you edit this template to match your company details and provide you with the data that concerns your project?


The first thing you have to do is copy the html that has been attached to this article and paste it in the html/css editor tab. Next, click back to the plain edit tab. The entire layout has been provided and all you have to do now is change the text and scores of your projects from this view.


This example refers to an NPS score, however, if your project concerns a CES or CSAT, simply change the text into the desired KPI.



The score that is portrayed in the above example (and the html code for the template) is a “hard” 9. To have this match the actual score that has been provided in your KPI, you will need to delete the 9 and replace it with a fieldpicker, that points to the designated column in your project database.



The Comment displays the text that has been provided by the respondent in the open comment box. Editing this works much the same way as editing your score: Delete the hard programmed text from the editor and replace it with a fieldpicker, pointing to the designated column from which you would like to retrieve the information.



Finally, please add the name of your company in the designated area of the footer, and you’re done.


Please note: If you feel more comfortable in editing html, you may very well alter the type of font, the alignment of the text, images, hyperlinks and further customize the template to your needs as well.
