Calculation:

For the IndexScore 5pnt calculation, every category on a 5-point scale gets points. The division for this is as follows:

Category 1 - 0 points

Category 2 - 25 points

Category 3 - 50 points

Category 4 - 75 points

Category 5 - 100 points

The total amount of points is calculated as an average (dividing the sum of the points divided by the count of the number of respondents) and the eventual score is presented as an index.

Example:

You have conducted research amongst your customers concerning the service of their employees and you have 1000 respondents. They have provided you with the following answers:

50 out of 1000 responses resulted in Very bad (0 points)

150 out of 1000 responses resulted in Bad (25 points)

250 out of 1000 responses resulted in Neutral (50 points)

500 out of 1000 responses resulted in Good (75 points)

50 out of 1000 responses resulted in Very good (100 points)

You now add up all the scores, in total 0 + 3750 + 12500 + 37500 + 5000 = 58750, and divide this score by 1000. This leads to an IndexScore 5 pnt of 58.75
