Multifactor Authentication (MFA) for Collaborators

As per default all collaborators log in with a one-time password that is sent to their email address.
Should you wish to provide their login with an extra layer of security as well, we have made it possible to enforce multifactor authentication for your collaborators as well.

This can be set up by an administrator on the Authentication & Security tab of the Portal section of your main menu.

By turning the switch to active, you will be given three options:

  1. Enable for all collaborators – All collaborators in your portal are now required to log in via MFA
  2. Enable per group – This allows you to enforce MFA login for certain groups of collaborators that have access to particularly sensitive data. Please note: If a user is assigned to multiple groups, (s)he will always be required to log in according to the highest level of security.
  3. Enable per collaborator – Selecting this option will deliver you a dropdown containing all collaborator users in your portal. This way you can assign MFA login to separate collaborators.

It is possible to combine MFA per group and MFA per collaborator. When selecting Enable for all collaborators, the other two options become greyed out.

For easy reference, a smart search function has been applied to the dropdowns.
