Release notes 06/05/2024

We are happy to announce another update to our CYS Software, this time targeted specifically to the Reports module (PowerPoint generator). The following changes are included:

New features:

  • API management for Reports. You can now retrieve your Reports and any relevant background data per report through API calls (options for POST and GET), which are automatically performed when a new Report is generated. You can use this output for example to integrate the Reports within your own CRM system. A new tab is available in your Reports widget to accommodate the setup.

  • Monthly reports settings now also include the options to send out on the First day of the month, instead of only the First Monday of a month. This provides more flexibility on when monthly reports get generated.

  • Treemap and Sunburst charts are now a supported chart types that can be used within the powerpoint templates, to visualize results over two levels.

  • Customized labels can now be applied within charts or tables that combine or compare multiple calculations. Before, the question text or calculation type was automatically applied to label the result. Now you can overwrite the label to ensure your results are easy to interpret and match your reporting needs.

  • Sorting options are expanded. Instead of only a traditional A-Z, Z-A or random sorting, it is now possible to choose specific sorting based on the answer codes, on the answer labels, or on the outcome of the calculations.

  • Show growth option is now available for tables. When activated, this adds an additional column per period, to indicate the growth in comparison to the previous period.

  • Force reports is a new addition to the General Tab on your widget settings. If you combine data of multiple projects into a single template, it could occur that the main project did not contain data for that period, and no report was created due to that. Even though the other connected projects did have data. By activating the Force reports option, the check if there is new data in the main project is skipped and reports are created in all cases. You can then put conditions on your datapoints within the template itself, to determine if the report creation should be skipped or not.

Improvements:

  • The download option that is embedded within the online PowerPoint viewer (when accessing a report though the Reports list in the Experience app), did not generate a valid file for some devices. This is now resolved, so both download options work correctly.

  • The global filter on the General tab now allows multiple values on the same variable. Before, if you wanted to target for example 2 out of 5 regions, the Global filter would not allow that and this needed to be added to all the datapoints in the template separately. Now you can add both Regions to the Global filter, and data of both will be allowed.

  • Recipient lists are now filtered against the global filter that is set on the General tab. This ensures that only relevant recipients for this widget are shown, thereby reducing the size of the list and making it easier to work with.

  • Filters within datapointsnow also allow the values Null (the column must be empty) or NotNull (the column should contain a value) as filter conditions, in addition to values that are actually present in the dataset.

  • Deleted or deactivated users are now automatically removed from the recipients list. They were already blocked from receiving any results, but the user name tag remained visible in the recipients list until it was manually removed. This is now automatically updated as well.

  • Videos that are collected in the data can now also be embedded into the PowerPoint report, for example video reviews or as supporting media on audits.

  • Download button for Reports within the mobile app has been optimized in size, to ensure that they properly fit the screen on all device sizes.

  • YTD/QTD/MTD results are now also available for the Category Percentage calculations.

  • Help icons and warning messages have been expanded, to provide more clarity to users on functionality or impact of certain changes.

  • Tabels with a horizontal orientation were automatically transfered to a vertical setup if the data only contained one compare variable. This is now fixed, to ensure the layout of the table stays consistent.

  • Stacked bars and columns using a category percentage, could switch the assigned colours of the categories if there was no available data for a specific category. This is now resolved, to ensure that the colours stay consistent with the category according to the template. This allows the use of signal colours for categories.
