Product Update – More Flexible Reporting and Improved Report Imports
Overview
This release gives you more flexibility in how you review performance and a more reliable experience when importing reports across multiple portals.
You can now use Tertial (T1, T2, T3) as a four-month reporting period and Tertial-to-Date (TTD) to track results from the beginning of the current tertial through a selected date.
Report imports are also improved to help ensure reports are imported into the portal where the import was started when working across multiple portals in the same browser.
1. More Flexibility with Four-Month Reporting Periods
Tertial Reporting Periods
A Tertial is a four-month reporting period that divides the calendar year into three periods:
T1: January–April
T2: May–August
T3: September–December
Dashboards and reports now support Tertial (T1, T2, T3) as an additional calendar-based reporting period, giving you another way to organize and review performance throughout the year.
Track Performance with Tertial-to-Date
A new Tertial-to-Date (TTD) calculation lets you track results from the beginning of the current tertial through your selected date.
TTD follows the same approach as Quarter-to-Date (QTD), making it easier to monitor progress within a four-month reporting period. Tertial and TTD are available across dashboards and reports, giving you a consistent way to review performance across your key reporting activities using four-month reporting periods.
Use the Latest CySReportBuilder for Tertial and TTD
This update applies to users who manage Reports, including importing report templates and managing report calculations. If you use these features, you need the latest version of CySReportBuilder to use the new Tertial and Tertial-to-Date (TTD) reporting periods and calculations.
If you have an older version of CySReportBuilder installed, uninstall it from Settings > Apps on your device.
Then go to Reporting > Reports in the portal and click Download to get the latest CySReportBuilder version.
2. Smoother Report Import Experience
Imports Stay Aligned with Your Portal
For users working with multiple portals in the same browser, report imports are now associated with the portal where the pptx file is imported.
This provides a more consistent experience when switching between portals and importing reports.
What You Need to Know
Existing reporting options remain available.
Users who manage Reports, including report templates and calculations, need the latest CySReportBuilder version to use Tertial and TTD. Tertial and TTD are additional reporting options and do not change your existing reporting periods or calculations.
No action is required for users who only view or use dashboards and do not manage Reports.
